The Excuse I Hear THE MOST…

Let’s be honest: we’ve all used the excuse “I don’t have time” when it comes to exercising or prioritizing our health. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, whether it’s work, family commitments, or just trying to keep up with everything else. But here’s the thing: when we use the excuse of not having time, what we’re really saying is that our health isn’t a priority. And that’s simply not true.

There are 168 hours in a week. Even if you work 60-80 hours a week, there’s still time to carve out 1.5-3 hours a week for fitness. THEN if you add in meal prep, with a system, you should be able to get a whole week’s worth of foods ready in 2-3 hours. Most of us waste that much time on social media or in front of our televisions.

Our health is the foundation of everything else we do in life. Without it, we can’t fully enjoy the things that matter most. So when we use the excuse “I don’t have time,” what we’re really doing is depriving ourselves of the opportunity to live our best lives. And that’s not fair to ourselves.

But here’s the good news: when it comes to exercise and fitness, you don’t need hours and hours of free time. Even just 30 minutes a day can make a huge difference in your overall health and well-being. And there are plenty of ways to make exercise a part of your daily routine, no matter how busy you are.

For example, try waking up 30 minutes earlier each day to squeeze in a quick workout before the day gets started. Or, use your lunch break to take a brisk walk or run outside. And if you really can’t find time during the day, try breaking up your workouts into smaller chunks throughout the day. Even a 10-minute workout is better than nothing.

The point is, there are always options when it comes to making exercise a priority. And when we make our health a priority, we’re not only doing ourselves a favor, but we’re also setting an example for those around us. We’re showing our loved ones that taking care of our bodies is important, and that we value our physical and mental well-being.

So the next time you catch yourself using the excuse “I don’t have time” for exercise, remind yourself that your health is worth making time for. Start small, with just a few minutes of activity each day, and gradually build up from there. And most importantly, be kind and loving to yourself. You deserve to live a life full of health, happiness, and vitality. So go out there and make it happen.
