Stress got you out of control?!

Do you feel like Hot Mess Barbie sometimes? Has stress got you feeling out of control? I get it. We’ve ALL been there.

There will always be things in your life that cause you stress. Your reaction to them and how you handle yourself is under your control, however.

I know a LOT of people who eat when they are feeling stressed. This is often our go-to response because food lifts our mood. After all, it’s called comfort food for a reason, right?

Often times when we are stressed, it feels like there is nothing we can control. That’s an excuse and not reality. There is ALWAYS something we can do to control our situation.

What if the next time you get stressed you CHOOSE to CONTROL something. Instead of diving into a bag of chips or a large pizza to curb your stress, take control and choose healthy food options. OR take some ME time and head to the gym for a hard-charging sweat sesh. I always feel better after a good workout. Throwing weights around and doing medicine ball slams are super fun when you are stressed.

I guarantee making the healthier choice will cause you less stress on the backside of your situation. Don’t add more stress to your life by being angry with your choices when you are in these moments. The more YOU control your situation and life, the less STRESS you will encounter. It’s all about personal choice.
