If it were easy, {fill in the blank}. How true it is that most of us are looking for the easy way. The shortest distance to success is desired. While I think that is ideal, I also realistically know that there are no shortcuts on the road to success.
I have been an owner of a fitness center for over 15 years. At one time, I was a multiple club owner. During this time, I have experienced the peaks and valleys that come with small business ownership. There have been many days that I questioned what the hell I was doing. Sometimes when people tell me I am an inspiration or they want my level of success, I feel like a fraud because there is so much more progress to be made before I reach my goals.
I have learned SO much through my time in the fitness business. I have had to teach myself everything I know. I earned an MBA in school; but I truly got educated over the past few years. Now, I use my education and experience to help others.
Unfortunately, this value does not come free but it does not cost my customers what it cost me either. I love to help others obtain the success that I am experiencing. It is not easy. It will require a commitment and daily discipline to get to and maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, I believe if God put a dream in your heart he also gave you everything you need to be successful to achieve that dream. I can tell you it will take some hard work. You will find that you become a different person through the process of achieving your dreams. If you thought every day was going to be sunshine and fairy tales, you need to reconsider your life’s choices.
There will be days when you question, like I did, why am I doing this? You will see the “average” people of the world eating out without a care in the world, living frivolously with alcohol and not working out. Let me reassure you, that lifestyle comes at a cost of shorter life spans, low energy, low happiness and low confidence. There’s more…inflammation, joint pain, early onset of diseases, medications and overall DIS-ease. There are coaches out there who can help you get started when you are ready. I will be happy to be an accountability partner for you, if you need it.
I wish you success and balance on this journey. Reach out to me if you want. I welcome your questions and comments. “When the student is ready, the master appears.” Buddhist Proverb
